Calendula

Calendula officinalis, also known as pot marigold, is a yellow/orange flower in the daisy family that is native to the Mediterranean. An infusion of its dried petals and stems contains unique properties that can significantly soothe irritated skin. It can treat various skin conditions as well as improve the quality and appearance of the skin.

Calendula oil is very gentle and has antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and antibacterial properties that could make it useful in healing wounds. It can also help to reduce the inflammation, redness, itching and pain caused by eczema, contact dermatitis, psoriasis, diaper rash, poison ivy, and other similar skin issues.

Calendula is also hydrating and full of natural antioxidants and carotenoids – perfect for all facial skin types - dry, sensitive, aging, combination and even acne-prone! Try our Calendula Shea Body Butter as a gentle moisturizer for face and body, but also to soothe any skin issues you may have. Calendula herbal oil is one of our favorite ingredients and we use it in many of our products including: Balancing Face Oil, Nourishing Face Butter, Chapped Lip Butter, Sweet Tushies, and Calendula Goat’s Milk Bar Soap.
