• Great for massaging into sore or aching muscles
• Does not leave greasy feeling once fully soaked in
• May calm inflammation and skin discoloration of bruises
• No strong medicinal odor
The Arnica Massage Butter from Artliss® has a refreshing scent and is formulated with a bit more oil than our other body butters to give a nice glide while massaging into sore, achy muscles - without leaving a greasy after feel when fully soaked in. This massage butter is made with Arnica Herbal Oil at 15% (the maximum suggested use percentage).
PLEASE NOTE: All of our body butters are purposely made thick to lessen the chance of them melting in the jar when outside during our summer markets or while being shipped to warmer states. Ambient temperature will determine exactly how hard/soft the butters will be and they will melt almost immediately on skin contact. Scoop out a small amount, melt on fingertips, then smooth into skin.
An infusion of Arnica contains significant anti-inflammatory and mild pain relieving properties and is therefore often used to stimulate the healing of muscles, tendons and other soft tissues after injury. Another popular use is to reduce the inflammation and skin discoloration of bruises (not to be applied to broken skin as it may slow blood coagulation). Many of our customers have found that Arnica helps to relieve the inflammation and pain associated with arthritis. How well it works for this purpose seems to depend on the depth and intensity of pain and the type of arthritis being treated. Artliss makes no medical claims about this or any of our products - please read our full disclaimer under FAQ's.
Please note that this body butter will take longer to be rubbed into the skin as it is made to be used as a massage aid. How long this process takes will depend on how much is applied, and if it is continuously rubbed in or left to mostly soak in on its own. If this process takes too long, simply use excess to moisturize other body parts (like legs and arms) or gently wipe off with a paper towel.
Made with Shea Butter, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Vitamin E and Arnica Herbal Oil.
*Essential Oils: Eucalyptus, Orange, Rosemary, Lavender and Peppermint.
Janine B., Lafayette, CA - Used the massage butter with Arnica this weekend. Oh my heavens it smelled incredible and left my skin super smooth. The best part was no soreness the next day(I love a deep massage). My massage therapist would love to know if she could buy a larger container! Love this!
