Very fresh, pleasant, citrusy scent. Our blend contains oils that are reputed to repel mosquitoes, black flies, no-see-ums, fleas and even ticks, but we do not guarantee its effectiveness against these pests or any disease-carrying ticks or mosquitoes. Customer feedback over many years, however, reports success with this product when used as instructed.
The ingredients are considered safe for most young children and healthy dogs, but your child or dog may have sensitive skin or may not tolerate the scent. Always test for sensitivity before use. Essential oils may be toxic to cats, so please do not spray product on or near them. Not recommended to spray directly onto or within inhaling distance of very young children or anyone with respiratory issues.....instead, shake well, spray downwind onto hands, then apply to skin.
TO USE: Shake well and frequently before and during application, and spray hands to then apply to face. May be applied to scalp. Avoid eyes and open sores. Reapply as often as needed. May also be used as a disinfectant hand and room spray once bug season is over. Do not spray over wooden furniture as it may damage the finish, and do not touch eyes after applying to hands.
Ingredients: Distilled Water, Witch Hazel, Grapeseed Oil, Neem Seed Oil, Polysorbates 20 and 80 (emulsifiers).*
Essential Oils: Lavender, Eucalyptus, Cedarwood, Peppermint, Citronella, Lemongrass, Geranium and Bay Leaf.
* Each bottle contains only a drop or two of polysorbates 20 and 80 - just enough to emulsify the ingredients for a few seconds after shaking. Since we make each bottle to order, we can exclude polysorbates 20 and/or 80 for anyone with a sensitivity to them. Denise C. Lynchburg VA. I have learned that Alaska is home to 35 different kinds of mosquitos. We have been outside quite a bit, including a 3-1/2 hour jet boat tour and a 5 hour fishing trip. On both boats, although mosquitos were flying all around, none of them landed on me, thanks to your bug spray. The tour guide for our fishing trip was a little concerned when he saw me pull out bug spray, because anything containing DEET can actually ruin the canopy they put over the boat. He thought it was awesome that your bug spray was all natural and even commented on how good it smells. Another guy that was with us noticed how well it was working and asked if he could use some as well. I did notice that it began to lose effectiveness after about 2 hours, but it wasn't an issue to reapply. Thanks so much...It has been put to the test this week...and passed.
Dorothy M. Forest VA. We have been using your bug repellent for quite a while now, and frankly we wouldn't use anything else! The scent is pleasing with a slight scent of lemongrass and lavender. It sprays on with a fine mist that is not heavy on the skin. The most important part is that when using the spray we will see the insects flying around but not landing on our skin! I highly recommend this product if you are outdoors frequently.

Summer W. Lynchburg VA. I discovered your products this weekend at the Forest Farmer's Market and I LOVE them! I purchased a sample of the deodorant, the bug spray and a lip tint. Yesterday, I put all 3 to the test! My husband and I went for an 8 mile hike and I wore the deodorant, and it was amazing! I was concerned about a possibility of odor but there was none! The bug spray was also amazing! We had to reapply several times due to perspiration but it was worth it. We could always tell when it was time to reapply because the bugs came back. I loved the fact that it kept them away and did it all without the sting of store bought, chemical laden bug sprays! Also, don't know if it's supposed to work against ticks, but the only place my husband got a tick was on his heel where he couldn't spray the repellent! The lip tint kept my lips moist the whole hike:) I love this too since I don't wear a lot of make up but do like a little color!
